ReadAir: Google Reader app built on Adobe AIR - Download Squad
Love Google Reader, but wish there was a desktop version of the RSS reader so you didn't have to open a web browser every time you want read your feeds? ReadAir is an Adobe AIR-based utility that lets you launch Google Reader as a standalone application. Since it's built on AIR, ReadAir runs on Windows, Mac, and Linux systems. Currently the program's default skin has an OS X look and feel, but the program will be skinnable in the future.

Spannend ist die immer zunehmende Verzahnung von Desktop und Internet, allerdings bin ich von dieser speziellen Anwendung noch nicht ganz überzeugt. Schauen wir mal, wie sich meine Meinung entwickelt, wenn ich etwas mehr damit rumspielte.

Durch Digg Reel bin ich auf einen Snickers-Websespot mit Mr. T gestoßen, der aber wohl aus dem Fernsehen verbannt wurde, weil er anscheinend so manches Gemüt verletzt haben soll.
Ich finde ihn amüsant. Macht euch selbst eine Meinung. Hier hab ich eine YouTube-Playlist mit allen bisher gefunden Spots und einem O'Reilly Interview zusammengestellt:

Neben YouTube und Dilbert.com gibt es noch zwei RSS-Feeds über die man Dilbert Animations beziehen kann:
Den hier (iTunes), in dem die Videos eingebunden sind, allerdings hinkt er zeitlich etwas hinterher und diesen, in dem allerdings nur die Links zur Dilbertseite drin sind, aber dafür ist der Feed immer brandaktuell.
Ach nöööö, nun gibt es auch Werbung im Vidcast (via RSS)

Does "grief work" work?

Abstract
This article challenges the long-standing belief in the necessity of "grief work" for adjustment to bereavement. Evidence is offered from a prospective study of 30 widows and 30 widowers that indicates that grief work is not always as essential for adjustment to bereavement as theorists and clinicians have claimed. Widows who avoided confronting their loss did not differ in their depression scores from widows who worked through their grief. However, for widowers, performance of grief work was associated with better adjustment over an 18-mo period. Potsdam - Die Bruttoeinkommen der Arbeitnehmer im Land Brandenburg lagen im vergangenen Jahr um rund 10.000 Euro und damit 25 Prozent unter dem Bundesdurchschnitt. Diese Zahlen nannte das Amt für Statistik Berlin-Brandenburg heute in Potsdam.Der durchschnittliche Bruttojahresverdienst brandenburgischer Vollzeitbeschäftigter habe bei 30.490 Euro gelegen, einschließlich Sonderzahlungen wie Urlaubs- und Weihnachtsgeld. Die Einkommen der Frauen erreichten 2007 laut Statistik 94 Prozent des Verdienstniveaus der Männer. Am besten zahlten Unternehmen der Energie- und Wasserversorgung, am schlechtesten das Gastgewerbe.
